Michelle discovered her love of tap at 7 years old from her Rockford, Illinois teacher, Cathy Nelson (a former Rockette). This is still Michelle's dream job but, at 5'3", it was never meant to be! She has a degree in Vocal Music Performance which has helped her to focus on teaching the musicality of tap dance. She has taught percussive dance (Irish and Tap) to children and adults in the Denver area for over 18 years. As an original member of Rocky Mountain Rhythm, Denver's first tap dance company, she has performed all over the Denver area. Her favorite performances include the Miss Colorado Pageant, 3 years on the main stage at Denver Pride Fest, and the Boulder Dance Festival. She believes in finding and expressing the joy that is unique to tap dancing!
